And by itty bitty, I mean a size 10. Might work on a size 12. Its basically a bucktail craw variant.

Except I do things alot differently. I tie my eyes on the top. And for the claws, I use individual clumps of bucktail, with black rubber legs separating them down the middle (like a vertical mouth.) The body is olive marabou, with a turkey tail back ribbed by black wire. The tail is just the end of the marabou clipped to the right size.

I’ll bet that pattern in a size 8 or 10 would be a killer in the little river that runs behind my house. I’ll tie some up and let you know how I do. Great looking pattern! Thanks for sharing.

Made a size 12. The size 10 is to the left, 12 on the right.

That,s a great looking little critter ya got there.
Do you do them in a rusty color?
What about weight?
wet
That’s a good-looking fly!
Does putting the eyes on top make the fly move through the water hook-point down?
Very nice craw! About the eyes on top of the shank, did you want it to ride hook point down? The shellback will be facing down. Just curious. I tie mine so the hook rides point up.
