First the paperwork gets bulldozed forward quite nicely on the new house/property …
Then UPS arrives at the office and drops off this!!!
Now it’s not IDENTICAL, … I don’t have the same stripping baskets and I still need to add the seat risers, but Dave Scadden sent the new Outfitter floats even though I ordered last year’s McKenzie X3 !!!
Can’t wait to inflate the floats, set up and put it through its paces !!!
That said, … I needed a 3 seater (yes NuCanoe does a 3 seat config) … but I was replacing a canoe, wanted to try something different, also like the whitewater capability and wanted LOTS of space to jump up and down when a nice bruiser strikes …
North Fork Outdoors would be a really good company to have as an FAOL sponsor. I bought my Scadden Madison River pontoon from Larry Tullis a couple of years ago, and he went out of his way to make sure I got the boat I needed, at a price that was less than the other premium level pontoons.
Chris - I got my boat a couple of years ago in January. I couldn’t wait to set it up, so I moved the living room furniture out of the way and set that puppy up in the living room! It went together easily - everything fits perfectly. I was really surprised how solid it was - it felt like it was made from one piece. No creaking, bending, flexing - nothing but SOLID. It feels the same on the water, and really inspires confidence. I’m not sure I could flip that thing if I tried, it’s so stable.
In this day and age, when you contact a company, you usually get an automated phone answering system. When I contacted North Fork Outdoors, Dave Scadden answered the phone. Those guys live, eat, and sleep inflateable watercraft, and it really shows.
I know what you mean. Right now the pieces are all (scattered) about the apartement. I can’t wait to set it up. I seriously looked at setting it up in the living room too, but the pontoon is almost 15 feet long onthis model!!
I should sign on a house tomorrow afternoon, so I’ll WAIT to move the stuff there before setting it up!
I called a couple time to get info, but always mucked up the time zones, so got the machine. I did get really good turn around on any of the e-mails that I sent though.
