Call me stupid, but when reading the pattern for the Gordon, it don’t jive with the photo. For instance, the bit of claret-colored swan? in the tail, but all that is mentioned for the tail is the Golden Pheasant crest.
Also mention in the butt, silver twist and yellow floss, but all that I see is the tinsel.
Then the body, 1/3 yellow floss, 2/3 claret, yet I see black and blue in the body.
I have never tied a classic pattern but I would like to. Help!! I would love to understand this thing.
I am throwing my hat in the ring agin for the free style and steelhead pattern…
