body - pheasant tail
hackle - dun (tip-tied; undersize by 1)
underwing - Midge Krystal Flash rootbeer
wing - deer hair bleached

Nifty fly!! Wonder how the “non-trouts” in Wyoming would respond to them … don’t know if they speak Italian there … I do know the English version of the spider works well!

Don’t know about spiders, but it looks like a piece of Gioielleria to me, and female trout everywhere always respond well to Gioielleria.

That would look good in a display, whether it will catch fish depends upon the fisherman.

Now I have the Billy Joel song, “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant” stuck in my head. :slight_smile:
