Welcome to the club. Nice looking blog site you have there. I did not read it in close detail but it looked ver interesting. I need to go back and read the info on the methods you are using.
Hey there, nice site, and welcome. Those flies look really good, the only thing I could think of about using deer hair as hackle is that the movement as a “leggy” material as compared to a feather would be a bit more limited as the deer hair is a bit stiffer.
