Intro from Newfoundland

Hi Everyone - just joined FAOL. My fishing buddy Robert (gobrock) has been sending me many links from this site that I have found it interesting and informative!

Little bit about me - I am an IT professional (geek) in Health Care during the week and when I am not working I am fishing with gobrock all around this great province of Newfoundland and Labrador here in Canada (eh!) Maybe in another post I can disclose how Robert became Gobrock! What do you think?

I love to chase the smokers (as we call them), big Steels, Sea Run Browns and the Master of them all, the Atlantic Salmon who can go from 0 to 60mph in a blink of an eye and toast those cheap reels even quicker!

I look forward to embracing the knowledge and content here and maybe, just maybe, I can offer some insight myself.

Glad you have agreed to have me!

Welcome aboard!

“Maybe in another post I can disclose how Robert became Gobrock! What do you think?” Do tell.

DId you hear the one about the…
uh, well nevermind

Welcome from Tennessee, USA.

Bill, the Pole. GOtta laugh at jokes about your heritage. Wish others could.

Wecome to the board Bugs.

WELCOME to FAOL!!! Very happy, that you’ve decided to join this fine fly obsession web site! Hearing about fishing from your neck of the woods, should be very interesting and I hope you also enjoy how others do things, coming from all over!!?
We’re not even going to hold it against you, that you hang out with fishermen like Gobrock. One, most of US,“Have black sheep friends” and personally, I AM “the black sheep friend” myself, to many. (not as far down the list as say…“Tyronefly”, but I’m low on the list, regardless).
Enjoy the site. Lots of super people, here, and even greater info, hints and tricks!

Bugs -

Welcome and greetings from SE Idaho.

John

Welcome Bugs!

OK - I’m ready - what’s the story on gobrock, and feel free to embellish!

Hi mate, welcome aboard.

I sure feel sorry for you though having nothing to do in your free time except chase them piddly smokers all around ugly ol’ Canada. How boring that must be!

Hi Bugs!
I was called Bugsy in H.S. but doubt if we’re related.

Welcome Bugs,

Im here in Mt. Pearl! Good to have you,

Maybe ill see you on the waters!

I usually do not want or allow any “Bugs” in my fly tying material, but, in this case, I will welcome you to the BEST fly fishing, fly tying and fly anything site out there. Feel free to contribute your thoughts and questions and enjoy yourself. Tons of information on this site. Check out the menu and look us over. Great bunch of people here and a site you can be proud of. Welcome…

Well all I can say is we all have Skeletons lurking in our fly boxes, including you Bugs!

Welcome to FAOL, check out the Fly Tying section, you see there are indeed more to flies than just bugs.

Welcome aboard Bugs.

How’s she cuttin’? The Newfie population is exploding on here lately…good to see

Hey Bugs Welcome from out here in British Columbia.
Glad to have you anchoring the Rock at your end .
We all know that its the middle of Canada that causes all the trouble.

Overwhelming Welcome  Thanks to all!

Spilling the beans on how Rob(gobrock) got his name is a trump I have to keep back, for now, as with just the mention of disclosing it on this site has suddenly increased its value. Me and gobrock are good fishing buddies but the only thing we seem to agree on is the time we are going to get up to go fishing!

Marvin

Bugs - I disagree!!! you just never see my point of view…

Welcome aboard Bugs from a fellow IT geek working in Healthcare. Greetings from Michigan.
