interesting dubbing blend

I was playing around on the web while listening to the tiger’s game yesterday when I found a fly pattern from a guy named Tim Neil that I liked. The fly he calls a squirrelrat is a simple nymph tied with a blend of squirrel and muskrat furs. Of course I had to change it a bit, so I added a small amount of grey sparkle yarn to the coffee blender and balanced it with an equal amount of extra squirrel. The result as he said was a really buggy looking blend that dubs much easier than squirrel and with more guard hairs than muskrat. I think it will make a great looking flymph too.
