Interagency Oceans Policy Task Force

Have you seen this?
Much of my flyfishing concentrates in Louisiana and Florida, mostly saltwater.
They say you don’t notice until your ox is gored. Well mine might just might be soon. Maybe yours too.

This is really bad. You need to read it, before it is too late.

After reading this, along with a few other things about it, I have to say that I’m not even a little surprised.

People tend to get the government they deserve. Folks wanted ‘change’…looks like they are going to get it.

A single vote is such a little thing to have such far reaching implications.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/administration/eop/ceq/initiatives/oceans/interimreport/ I don’t find anything alarming here but I have to admit I am not an expert on bureaucratese.

I put a bad title on the original post.
You REALLY need to read this.

BAD LINK COACH…
TRY THIS

Don’t just read it !!! Send a letter or call your representative too.

I have read the report and I did not see anything about closing any areas to fishing. As a matter of fact I did not see any solid recomendations other then the plan needs to be created based on best avialaible science.

Now I do realize that closing areas to fishing might be on the table but there is nothing solid on that anywhere.

On the other hand if done correctly idea of consolidating all of the conservation and restoration efforts into one global program might not ba a bad idea.

Then again we are talking about goverment agency - I guess anything is possible.

I do hoverver agree that everyone that wants to keep on fishing should send a message to their representative. Even if there are no red flags at the moment it does not mean that that will not change. There should be some sort of watchdog group from congress on the project of this scope.
