On the subject of useful items not normally thought of as ‘official fly material’, I was looking for some dubbing the other day, and noticed that my wife’s calico cat had just what I needed. A few strokes of the cat brush and I had the color I wanted, and the cat was happy. Gotta run now, the siamese and the tabby want to donate now

Hey, Mike! Welcome aboard! Looks like you have a plethora of dubbing materials at hand! A friends Newfoundland has abundant dubbing, if you need long, black fibers. They tie up beeautifully.

ty betty…and i’ve got a friend with a black lab that has ‘voluteered’ to let me have some also…all i have to do is bring my brush up and git started…what a pal!
