Went by a small shop today whilst on vacation. The owner had some obviously hand died and repackaged 10 packs of brightly colored saddle hackle…for 40 bucks. 4 dollars a feather.
I say good on him!!! But I can’t wait for this fad to end.

Someone on another site was getting $80 for 10-12 packs on ebay. I should do this. I have a full saddle in white with longer barbs than I tie with. Could easily be dyed pink, purple, or whatever. Not being an ebay seller, I wouldn’t know where to start. Open to ideas besides keeping in a drawer for another 15 years.
I believe it is easier to put something for sale on Craigslist than Ebay, although the coverage is not as wide.
This is true. If I was selling saddle for tying, I would post in “sporting”. However, I see there is a category “beauty and health”.
Uncle Jesse may be healthy, but there’s no way I seem him qualifying for the “beauty” part of that category…
On the other hand, toads MUST be beautiful or Swamp Witch Betty wouldn’t make so many…
