I am going to be in Amherst Virginia for a few days in the middle of October and was wondering what fly fishing opps may be. I am debating spending a weekend and maybe hiring a guide. What would the fishing be like this time of year?

Pedlar River; Mt. Rogers Nat’l Park. Slide a bit north around Lexington and Charlottesville and there are a lot of streams.
Streams should fish well…some leaves on the water.
