If you are using Internet Explorer .....

…this would be a good time to try another browser. Microsoft has announced that they have a security vulnerability in Internet Explorer, but they don’t have a patch for it yet. The details of how to exploit this flaw have been published on the Net, so you can expect more bad guys to try to use it until MS has their patch ready.

Firefox is a good, free, browser to download and use until this problem goes away. You may even find that you prefer it to IE.

Firefox is a good browser but has its own set of issues. The risk posed by the current issue with IE is small and not easily exploited. I am guessing Mickeysoft will have it fixed within a couple of days.

SRWare Iron.

It’s the same thing as Google Chrome, without all the junk that Gears adds

Download link goes to Firefox

Download link goes to Firefox

Wow, … that means that your firefox browser is hijacking the URL and bringing you BACK to firefox!!

When I click, … it takes me to the SRIron site! (see attched image).

Weird!

I’m using Chrome…

I go to that site also, but when I hit DOWNLOAD it goes to Firefox. Even in small print it says(Firefox below the download button)

I’m using Google Chrome

Link works for me.

I use Chrome, as I have been for over a year now…I like the modest, but convenient set of extras (password manager, autocomplete, etc.)

Never in a year of using it at work and on 2 home computers have I ever once had any issue that was the browser’s fault.

Ive used Firefox ever since Nutscrape bit the dust…in fact Netscape recommended that you use Firefox. Never had any sort of browser problems

Link straight to FireFox

Aha! … The “download link” is actually a Google Ads link, … to get to the SRIron down load, ht:

Ah. Got it.

Downloaded it. Seems even faster than Chrome. Nice.

I’ve been using it for a while now and like it. My laptop uses a really light weight Atom processor, so I wanted the fastest browser possible. Funny, … I believe it was on a thread somewhere here on FAOL that I found the SRIron browser!
