Can anybody tell m eanything about this reel? I got in in an estate auction new-in-box, but a litttle tarnished a bit of rust. The reel spins beautifully and the click pawl drag functions great. But try as I may, nobody can identify it.

My guess is they were made in Japan in the 60’s.
I sent one perty close to that to cutter a couple of years ago.
Could also be from Checkolslovacia…oops that not correct spelling but close enough for the girls i go with

I’m interested in knowing as well. I bought one just like it off of Ebay about ten years ago…unfortunitly, mine came without a box and there are no markings on mine that tell who made it.
But I have a use for it so it’s worth the $5 I paid for it. Would be nice to know where it came from, though.

Thanks folks! I know it belonged to a fellow from MD, because I also have his fly wallet here. All wet flied with pretied 4-5" gut leaders & eyeless hooks. Some still in the original card & wrapped in wax paper. It’s a gator skin wallet. I’d just love to kow the origination of the reel:^)

apply some kind of protectant because once rust starts on that model of Bronson you can kiss the reel goodbye. They were made and sold by the thousands. Value is sentimental only.

MCSteff…you are correct…a Bronson Fly-lite. Now that you named it I found all kinds of stuff on it. Just my luck, it’s the only Bronson model that was not labelled. LOL! Now I need a nice fishable bamboo to put it on:^)
