Okay, Okay, I know our wading boots aren’t even dry after the '08 Idaho Fish-In, but now is the time to start saving and planning for 2009. We’ll be gathering at the same place, Three Rivers Resort in Lowell, Idaho. The dates are September 19th through the 26th. Put that on your calendar and start saving those nickles, dimes and quarters to finance the trip.

Have to wait until april for vacation picks, but am trying to make it for next year.

My arm might have recovered by then. And then again, maybe not. Made it home finally, after wandering through Montana and Wyoming and not finding very many other fishy spots, with one notable exception. Arrived last night to discover my fridge had tripped the breaker shortly after I left two weeks ago. Ick. House is detoxed, now, but if it happens again I am hiring one of those Katrina cleanup specialists.

I will actually make this one next year, when february comes around my one year tenure at work will be up and I’ll get my one weeks paid vacation, which will be used for the fish-in
I’m already making plans for it. Even if I have to do a tent again. That’s not a bad way to go if you’re by yourself. Pencil me in (in indelible lead). I’m looking forward to plying my new fiberglass rods on really smart fish. I’m also starting to rebuild all my North Idaho Flies collection. October Caddis will be a big part of that collection. Along with PMD’s and BWO’s. Maybe a Caddis Pupa or two.
