I Went and Done It...Too late to back out now.

To:Marco, Chris, Tim, Pterosaur,P. Dieter,Mike,Splitditch and all…

I’ve heard the patter of little feet for several weeks now. I saw in the paper that there were 2 pound puppies available at the SPCA shelter and their picture was along side the article. I admired these dogs but didn’t go to see them and it played on my mind for a week or so. I thought that they would be gone until I heard from Allen that they were still there.

My wife and I frequently miss our previous mutt so when I brought that little girl home there wasn’t a chance that we could take here back.

Her History…Mother found in the flood.
She came into our area from Louisiana via a pregnant 13" Beagle. Her father is thought to be a Catahoula Leopard dog. Cute and smarter tham me and my wife put together. She’ll be a handfull but I’m 74 and can spend the necessary time with her. Thanks for helping me to make up my mind.

Hey Bill,

Congrats on the new family addition.
I know all too well how attached we can
get to these 4 legged friends. My pound
puppy grew into a first rate fly fishing
buddy.G He rides in the boat next to my
seat and watches my flies as intently as
I do. He can detect strikes, and when I
miss one, you should see the look he gives
me.G He doesn’t have a clue that he’s a
dog and I have no intentions of telling him. I wish you and your new
buddy much joy. Warm regards, Jim

Bill, …

…74 and can spend the necessary time with her …

Yup, … that’s all you need.

A pup is a comittement, … something I’m cetain that you’re not affraid of.

You have fun.

Congrats! And thanks for giving that pup a great home (pounds mean well but they’re no place for puppies).

Our Boxer developer a tumor near her brain stem last year and had to be put to sleep.

This time around, we found a local rescue group that specializes in pulling puppies out of pounds and finding them forever-homes.

Ours is a mix of (allegedly) Aussie Sheppard, Collie, and whatever the mystery dad added. The rescue group had the mom but no sign of dad.

Pups take a lot of time but they’re worth every bit of it.

Enjoy you new buddy!

Bill, I’m happy for you. Have you picked a name yet?

Hey Snipe,
Sounds like this pup has really lucked out in finding you. I’m sure he’ll return the favor by his unqualified love and trust.
Long live da bode a yuz.
