I stopped at a crafts store. I originally was just going to look around and see what they had. I ended up spending $50 on glass beads, craft (poly) yarn, some peacock tail feathers ($1.99 for two pack !!) and a neat little thread holder rack. I guess I have finally, really crossed over to the dark side. God have mercy on my soul.
Mike;
I have some âPunch Yarnsâ that I will share with you. One is a match for Adams Gray, one is a match for Light Hendrickson and some black/ browns for caddis bodies. Just pm your snail mail addy.
You know you are truly lost when you slow down when driving by free range chickens to evaluate them for Hackle. I havenât bought any yet but there was a varient rooster I would have made an offer on if anyone was home.
Yup. Just wait until he has 5 or 6 of the large thread racks. One each for thread, floss, wire, tinsel, vinyl rib, tubing, yarn, weight wire, dental floss, and ultra micro mini tiny chenille. I guess thats 10 racks. See? You are way behind already.
Mike,
You would not believe what You can find in âQuilt Shopâsâ also.
However You havenât completly gone over to the âDark Sideâ until You view Tying size 18âs as a âLargeâ Fly and You go thru a couple of hundred sz. 32âs a year:lol:
Thought the same thing about the thread rack, first mistake was to buy one that you could fill that day. I have started to describe my hobby as collecting fly tying materials. I really donât use them all, just have to possess them. Itâs a compulsion. I need that, I need that, I NEEEEEED THAT!
