I volunteered for a local high school

THIS is the Link!

Joe,
Don’t be Mad, but I just wanted to attach this Link to a Volunteer Post! Eric’s Post-March 07
Sorry,
Doug

Nighthalk a few remarks—as a teacher for our local FFF fly fishing club. If you have a FFF or TU club in your area ask for their help. Members that were teachers started school club --one though he would on get a couple kids but 15 showed up. Clubs will furnish teachers and equipment.

I have taught and tested over 150 Boy Scout fly fishing merit badges after voulenteering as a counslor. They require a background check for the teacher one adult to two scouts or two adults to one scout. At a school this shouldn’t be a problem. Years ago this wasn’t needed but things have changed for your protection and the childs. When we have a outing for Big Brothers Big Sisters we are lucky to have one on one club help–otherwise we would insist on a sponsor or familly member to bring the child. Never teach one on one unless it is a family member.

As far as flys go the famouse standby woolybugger and streamers are easy ties. Anything that FLOAT or is close to the surface so that they see the strike–rubber leg flies help BILL

FIRST!, Bill, I love you!

This was a EXPERIMENT to see if I could attach/ reply to a POST that was about Volunteering!!!
