I got a chance to break in the new 7’6" 3WT today. It is one sweet rod. It felt good in the hand right out of the tube and sock. The XPS DT line is a great match for it. I plan on letting my grandson learn to flyfish with this rod. I wish I could say I got to land a fish with it. But thanks to the powers that be in Arkansas Corp of Engineers, there was an unforseen cranking of the generators. Maybe tomorrow will be a day for fish. I also have an 8’ 2WT to try.

There is no greater fan of flyfishing than the worm.
I got to try my new TFO 8wt yesterday. Toby (Antron Midge) and I got into some bass and sunfish and had a ball for a few hours yesterday morning. I used a Rio “Clouser Line” and it worked well with the big deer hair bass bugs that I used. Toby’s hopper was the hot fly although we did interest a few bass in the deer hair bugs. Aleta liked my TFO so much that I ordered another for her.
