I need prayers for one of my Scouts.

Today at about 3:15 Denver time, a 35 yr old man walked onto the campus at Deer Creek Middle School about a mile south of my house and shot two students. A math teacher saw that he had a chance and tackled the gunman saving many others. A boy and a girl were shot. The girl was treated and released. The boy, a Second Class Scout in one of my troops, is in critical condition but is expected to survive.

Matt, the girl, their families, and their classmates need all the prayers they can get.

Hope they both get well soon. Thoughts from around the world for them, and their families.

My heart goes to you and the family of thouse hurt i pray he survives.

I will certainly add them to my list.

I’ll be praying for them, and for you, too. Hope everything turns out okay.

Prayers indeed. First for the scout that was shot, and second for the man who lost his mind. And praise to the Lord for protecting the tackler.

I will pray for all concerned as well

Prayers from southeast Idaho. Having been a scoutmaster for several years I know the attachment that grows for those boys. Keep the faith.

Kelly.

Kevin, They and their families are in our prayers and added to the prayer list.

Posted it on our Troop web site. Prayers from this Scoutmaster and the entire Troop.

This is from the Senior Patrol Leader, as it should be. The Troop is making a huge get well card for Matt at their meeting tomorrow night. Since he is in intensive care, the boys are not allowed to visit as yet. They are getting regular updates from the family and when they can visit, the hospital should plan for an invasion of Scouts.
