I love the pig!

Doggone,
Iwent through this whole thread, never seeing a picture of the PIG (fly) or much about tying one! Would you please fill this dumb yankee in on the particulars? Son of a gun…I need to tie a couple of those.

Hey Snipe,

Here is the first “When Pigs Fly”. It
was named by LadyFisher. [url=http://www.flyanglersonline.com/lighterside/part182.html:59fa9]http://www.flyanglersonline.com/lighterside/part182.html[/url:59fa9]

Chris, I think that would be a great

attention getter for the FAOL bunch.G
Also, if you can get down this way, there
is one in my front yard which should help
ya locate us.

Warm regards, Jim

I tried out my foam popper today and the bluegill’s loved it. Jim, you’re right, these flys weigh nothing and cast easily.

This method is the quickest popper making technique that I have used. I usually just buy poppers at Walmart rather than messing with making my own. But I’m going to have to make some more of these foam poppers. I took my first one out today to try it, and bluegill loved it. But, I found out that I didn’t use the right hook. In the future, I need to leave a bigger gap than I did on this one. I used a #10 hook and I think a #8 would have worked better.

Anyway, I started this string because I thought the pig was funny, but now I’ve figured out that these poppers are easy to make and they work. I’ll be making more of these.

Thanks,
Rex
