well I have to get some things done and get back to the hospital.
Have a wonderful day all.
“I’ve often wondered why it is that so many anglers spend so much money on,and pay so much attention to.the details on the wrong end of the fly line.If they took as much care in selecting or tying their flies as they did in the selection of the reel and rod,They might be able to gain the real extra edge that makes it possible to fool a fish that has,in fact, seen it all before” A.K.Best
Hey Bill;
Congratulations to all three of you.I hope good health and good fortune follow her throughout her life. We also had a similar “event” on July 1 when our granddaughter Hannah arrived . We, however, got a bit more for our money. Hannah weighed in at 9 lb.2oz. So when do you post the photograph??
Bill,
Congratulations, two girls for my wife and I. Just returned from Moscow, Idaho setting my oldest daughter in her appartment at college, my how the time flies. Youngest graduated from high school and is now working and taking some time off until she tackles college. Enjoy her while you can they are sure precious.
Bill,
Congratulations on your new arrival. Daughters are a wonderful thing to have around, at least until they reach dating age. That’s a difficult age for fathers. Just wait until you have grandchildren; then you don’t have to worry about disciplining them, you can just spoil them rotten.

That’s what I do Larry. My grand-daughter just turned a year old and has Poppa’s heart. I fell head over heels in love with her when she smiled at me for the first time. And you’re right. I do spoil her and her two brothers and I can go home.
BTW Bill… congratulations on the new family addition. Wait and see how long before she has a tight grip on your heart, too. I never had a daughter. I got divorced just after my son was born. I guarantee my grand-daughter will fill that hole. She already has.

Thank you all, For such warm wish’es,Hav’nt been allowd to hold her yet,She’s in the NICU on oxegen, but slowly being weened of that, already down to 25% from 60%,and the tube could be removed as early as today.
Can’t wait to be able to hear her cry again…can’t hear that with the tube…and to hold her…This is very hard on my Lady…Nothing beats the look on her face when she wraps her Lil fingers around her mommies finger and squeezes firmly…That smile is worth millions…
She ask’d to read this post…I had’nt really given thought to my last post…and well,She cried on my shoulder for quite sometime…guess I should not have scrolled so far down…
Thanks agian for all your wishes for our fam…means more than you all know…
Bill… tell her that everything will work out. My two youngest grandkids both were very small when born. You’d never know it by looking at them now. The 2 year old is as mean as a snake and he’d rather go over or through something than go around it. The grand-daughter just turned 1 and at her yearly check-up, the doctor said she had one of the best the doc had seen in quite awhile. I doubt that my little girl will never be really big because her momma only weighs about 85 pounds and barely makes 5 foot. Kinda funny watching her and my 6’3" son.

Bill (& mom) - take a deep breath and acknowledge NICU as being the best place your little jewel can be.
Our last 2 boys were in NICU after birth - latest for one week (plugged full of … poo) - no problem there now. 2nd youngest for 2 wks - he just came 3wks too early. He had the faintest whisper of a cry - we couldn’t wait to hear his voice. Now - we can’t shut the 2yr old up unless he’s sleeping.
Its not easy seeing them all wired and tubed up - that’s not the way it should be … the only way to handle it - is knowing that they are in the best hands at NICU. Its still … not the easiest. But that time apart - will draw you even closer to her …
Now, do those stretching and bending exercises … as Fatman noted - she’s going to wrap you good (and you’ll bend with a smile no matter what) …
Three weeks exactly here too,This is not our first …ummm scare within this whole pregnancy,a few months into things ,when she finally got the ultrasound she hoped for. The docs found about a 1 cm wide/thick buildup of liquid in the baby’s abdomon,And we were told that this was a fairly normal sign that our baby would be born with Downes syndrome, Or other types of things of that nature…So we did the only thing we could.
We took the chances and the option of an Amniosenthesis, After two of the longest weeks of waiting and praying I’ve ever known.
The test results came back and that and the next ultrasound both shown Our Sweet lil Baby, To Be both a Girl and Completely free of all signs of that…The Doc told us he had no explainations of why,how or where it went…and that in 22 yrs of being in his position he could count on one hand, The times this had happened and still have a couple fingers to spare…It never came back…And she shows no sign of such things…In Fact they all say,That but for, Her lungs not being fully mature shes as healthy a Lil Girl as they’ve ever seen…Oh yeah, That tube is nolonger within our Lil Girl…It was taken out late yesterday afternoon and has been replaced with the Little nose spike things…shes still recieving oxegen…But In a way I can thankfully live with…She looks and acts much more comfy…sorry for going on so much…But we truely thank not only the lord…But all of you as well.
Thanks,The Knepp Clan!
P.S., ELKHUNTER,
I built a sweet Lil 6’ Sharpes 4wt. Cane rod a few yrs back…Did it all in Copper By Hand…Beautiful Lil’rod, For a Beautiful Lil’Girl!!!..I’ll not fish it again,Less she allows me to…

Bill,
Congrats!!!..Our youngest, Maggie (now 21), was 4lbs 3 oz & 3 months premature. She spent over 3 weeks in NICU & lost down to 3-12 before she started gaining. Her Pediatrician told us she would be our most determined child as a result of her “fight” at the start of her life…BOY, was he RIGHT!!..Watch that little lady of yours. She will OWN you! (I’m sure she does now!)
Finally, hats off to all who work in NICU units. Those folks are very special in our hearts, no matter WHERE in the world they work.
