Where I was awarded with the District Award of Merit! It’s the highest award given at the District level in Scouting. My better half did a bang up job of keeping it all secret from me. I didn’t have any idea this was coming at all.
That’s awesome. You deserve it.
Congratulations, Kevin…I think we saw a fly rod you presented …right?
Congrats, Kevin. We sure need good role models. Thanks for help filling the void.

Congratulations Kevin. And thanks for taking up the slack for US who make limp excuses as to why WE can’t “take the time and effort”. Ibelieve firmly as the twig is bent so the oak will grow and obviously the twig is in your good hands.

Congratulations Kevin from a fellow scouter here in Ohio!!
Yes, I’ve done a few Scout themed rods. The one was donated to the Tahosa Alumni Association to raffle off to help pay for restocking the lake at Camp Tahosa. There was the one I posted the other day and one I haven’t posted yet as it is a gift and I did not want to risk spoiling any surprises.
Kevin,
From one scouter to another let me offer my congratulations on your award. That’s quite an accomplishment and you should be proud of the work and service you are providing. I delighted for you and I tickled to know you’re doing good work for Scouts. Well Done!
I stayed in the background while my wife devoted many years to scouting. She worked at the district level for most of those years, training scout leaders, working with the professionals, and organizing dinners for folks such as yourself. I’ve watched many deserving people, come to the podium to receive their well earned recognition for many hours of unselfish devotion to our young men. Much of this devotion is unsung, and unheralded. Congratulations to you (and the many other scout workers who have not yet been recognized thus) for the many hours taken away from hearth and home. The Wood Badge beads and Silver Beaver award are among her most prized posessions. Forge on !
This I look on as a nice recognition and feel very honored by it but only remember having fun along the way to last night. The Wood Badge Beads, however, I worked for!
Kevin the recognition and plaque could not be awarded to a nicer person, I am very happy for you. The real reward are the young men who are better people for having known Kevin Proctor, probably a few young ladies also.
WELL DONE, Kevin.
