I received the biggest surprise of my life tonight … bar none!
Tonight at fly tying group Tim asked what I thought about a rod … a beautiful bamboo 7’4# rod … that he had with him. I drooled all over it, told him it was beautiful … and he said, that it was good I liked it because it was mine. He and the other four fellows (my boys!) bought it for me for my birthday! I’m still , 2 hours later, stuttering and stammering around! They said I was always doing something for them, it was time they did something for me.
I loves my boys! I will never be able to adequately thank them for their kindness and generosity. So here’s a pubic thank you to all of them. You are ever so special to me.

What a great gift! And Happy Birthday Betty! I still tie up Betty Blues and Dark Bettys (the snipe and blue, and a starling and royal blue) and use them as some of my go to patterns.
