Caught saturday!
If you bring them around here they sure will!
quivira kid,
That plate plus a cool brew, what a great combination. Makes my mouth water.

When I was a kid we used to fish a lake up near the Canadian border every year. One year the only trout we could catch were 6 inchers (all planted). My father kept some of them and fried them in deep fat until they were totally cooked, bones and all, then he put then in the ice chest. When cold they were great with beer.

There are few things eaten that compare to deep fried 'gills! Your plate made me hungry.
Mike
Larry, unfortunately I had to settle for a Dr. Pepper. But they were dang good! I’ve gotta go back saturday and see if I can find some more.
I’ve been using bait and ice jigs the past few months, and have caught a lot of fish that baaaarely hit it. It was great to see these guys come up 3 and 4 feet and absolutely thump a plastic!
makes me want to quit my diet.
24 pounds down…50 more to go.
Keep up the good work! Bake them instead of frying and you can eat all you want! I know it’s torture when you can smell them right through the computer screen!
with fare like that there’s no need to be gourmet anything. the proof is in the eating!!
hey QK… that looks like dinner! yummy!
Bream fillets are a tasty treat for sure!!!
Quivira Kid,
Wait a minute! Aren’t those the Piranhas from Post#3 on the " I seem to have a rash" Thread? What, are we calling them bream or gills now! LOL!! Yes, those are some mighty tasty lookin fische! Like Nighthawk lamented - you can almost smell em cookin through the puter screen!!
Best regards and enjoy, Dave S.
You just make sure you have a bag of goose at the fish-in. If you show up with out goose I promise that I will put lots of gar in the canoe, I am working on rope flies.
Steve, goose season wasn’t too good to me this year. hope we get into some snows!
Bring some tin snips and a very good knife, sounds like there are going to be alot of gar in the canoe.
You’d be surprised how fast this fat kid can abandon ship!
