Hi Randy, I’m new to this site and ‘new’ to this particular rod! We have a great Orvis shop In Bellevue,Wa. and I spend a fair amount of time in it so I can get the info I need . What I am looking for is a decent rod for salt water. I’m not sure right now if these fit that bill?! I wanted a 9’6" or 10’…I have a 10’ GLX Classic…an older 2 piece…just a cannon! But I wanted something a little lighter that I could use for Pink Salmon and for Sea Run Cuttthroat. I can’t afford a 5, a 6 and a 7wt just for the salt! So what i read is these are built for tossing a heavy streamer…more like a quick mend and let it rip? That is more or less the action needed for beach fishing with wind and tide. Any feedback on the rods action would help, It’s too early to talk price, I’m not sure what ‘new’ is anyway. I have a 9’8wt Rainshadow RX8+ I just put up for sale.
