What is the easiest way to toe tag a fly for a swap. My way is fairly timeconsuming. Suggestions? Ideas?
I just type the fly name, my handle, recipe (depending on host requirements), my email address. I copy it all in word for the number of flies I tied then cut them out. Punch the fly through each one and they are ready to go!!! Sometimes I put a fun picture on the tag too.
Example:

Hope this helps,

For the swaps I run I want your name and email address on it.
You can do this in a word processign document and print a page of them up.
Rick Zieger ziegeria@grm.net goes three wide onnma sheet of paper.

For the swaps I am in or run I place the require info in word then copy and paste it for the number of flies. I bought a paper cutter a while back and I use it to cut them out then just put over the point of the hook. Word is Kwel
For the swaps I run, I like to see your online name, fly name and fly recipe, email addy optional. I just type mine to note pad then copy it for the number of flies in the swap, print it then cut the indiviual tags and place the hooks through each one. If you want it to stick to the tag better put a small piece of scotch tape on the back over the hook point. Just my 2 cents worth. John
Online name is a biggie. I know this is confusing for first time swap members, but really after hosting a few swaps there are as many variations as there are swappers. JGW

Bassman, I like that idea. Thanks
i’m a little different. i have a cheap business card software program and design my own card. then i stab the fly to the card and put that in a clear 4x3 baggie.
see the one below. i did that one for a bass fly swap. i tied the one on the lower left.
Your welcome Dub. John
Yep that’s a really good tip about the scotch tape.
Especially with the #20 and smaller flies that tend to get lost in the shuffle.
