Search from the Homepage
On the homepage, there’s a search bar right in the banner. Just click it and start typing.
Results appear as you type — click any result to go straight to it.
Search from Any Page
On every other page, look for the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner of the header bar.
Click it to open the search panel, then type your query.
Search Tips
- Search for a fly pattern: Type the pattern name (e.g., “Royal Wulff” or “Woolly Bugger”)
- Search for an author: Type their name (e.g., “Neil Travis” or “Rick Zieger”)
- Search within a category: Click the options icon (the sliders) in the search bar to filter by category
- Search by tag: Type a tag name like “trout” or “dry-fly”
The Fly Pattern Filter Bar
In the Fly Patterns category, there’s a special filter bar that lets you browse by Type of Fly, Water, Species, and Difficulty — no typing needed. Just click the tabs and pick what you’re looking for.
