For the life of me I can not fiure hw to get a picture posted. I have looked for instructions, but can’t seem to find them. I also e-mailed the administrator and got no response. Can somebody point me in the right direction? I would like to share photos of the occasional catch, my boat, etc. I apologize if this has been covered before. Thanks.
hi Brian. what you have to do is first put the photo online at a hosting site, like www.photobucket.com. you can become a member there for free. once yer photo is on the internet you right click on the photo and select its properties. from there you copy its URL. then you come here and click the “IMG” button on a reply-in-progress. then u paste the url after the lil IMG thing that is there. after you paste the url, click the img thing again. there ya have it…a picture will come up!!!
THIS IS WHAT IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE IN THE REPLY.*NOTE: ONE CHARACTER WAS REMOVED OR ELSE A PICTURE WOULD HAVE SHOWN UP
Brian,
As mentionned, … you have to post to the web, then reference the image here.
You can get a read on an old thread that ran at:
http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/view … ht=posting
p.s. … The Admin is fishing (and have been for a couple weeks) so that’s why they p^robably didn’t get back to you
Brian,
Were it not for fcch I’d probably still not know how to post pictures! His tutorial is wonderful ! Even you can do it!!
Now, if we can get Chris to post a tutorial for the Tags!
Betty
Ummm … yep! That’d be it!!
Betty,
The tags are a code one uses to highlight (bold face), italics, make lists etc.
Exactly the same way as tags reference images. If you put text between

you get bold face text.
With the new BB, … it’s even easier. Highlight a text with the mouse, then click the “B” button on the top of the edit window and the appropriate tags will be placed before and after the text.
Cheers,
So a place like webshots will work? Thanks for the info. I really want to post a pic of a nice spanish Mackeral that I caught. Thanks.
Brian,
Eaxctly, …
From the Webshots albums, your “code” will look something like:

Good luck.
Little tip, … PLEASE resize images so they are a maximum of about 800 pixels wide or even less.
Two reasons.
- Images that are too wide make the BB text scroll off the right side of the screen.
- BIG images take up bandwith.
