Sometimes, when your buddy is more intent on taking photos than tailing your fish, you do stupid things…
that fish (a smallish steelhead making the swirl at the bottom of the picture) wasn’t really all that close to being ready to come in, so what do I do?
I could have easily ended up with a broken rod right there…but, as luck would have it, didn’t…
but hey, can’t really complain about my day…1/2 on steel and several nice whitefish (winter day saver) to hand.
