How do you attach a fly trap to your vest?

Okay folks, I bought a Lamson Fly Trap from “Carp” on the For Sale page (thanks Carp). Thought it would be worth trying to see if it might help as I’m losing more flies from my fly patch on my vest than I am to the trees and brush.

My trouble is, after studying on it for over a day, I’m clueless as to the intended method of attaching this gadget to my vest. So, anyone out there with some experience with this thing want to help me shorten my learning curve I’d appreciate it.

The “c” shaped wire that travels back and forth in the recess on the back of the box have anything to do with attachment or does this have some other purpose?

Thanks in advance for any guidance you might have. Never thought I find a fly box that was smarter than me, who’d have “thunk it”!

That “C” shaped wire is the key. Pull it out, then reattach it from the inside of your vest. That is, the “C” clip goes on the inside of your vest and the flytrap, obviously, goes on the outside. The clip will fit inside the grooves from whence it came through the vest material.

Yep, that was the ticket. Knew it had to be something simple I wasn’t seeing. I just could figure it out. Works like a charm now. Thanks for the help, you really saved me from one of those “DUH…” moments!
