Hook and Hackle

I’m posting this here because I started buying from Hook and hackles years ago based on recomendations on this forum.

I placed my first order since the company changed hands and I’m very dissappointed in the service I’m getting. I’ve been a customer for years and I have recomended this company to many people.

I placed an order a week ago. I had gotten no email confirmation and when I checked online, the order status said “Boxes need weighing”. I waited a couple days and then sent an email asking how it could take so long for boxes to get weighed. I got no email back but today when I check online, I get the message that my total order (many different items) is backordered! In the past it has always been Hook and Hackles policy that when an item(s) is backordered, they would send out the items in stock and send the backordered ones when they come in.

I’m VERY disappointed in how my order is being handled. What I find especially frustrating is that all my emails get ignored.

Hi, I have had some dealings with Hook and Hackle lately and Ron, the new owner is not real good about e-mail, and you probably should give him a call about your order, but he has dealt very well with me when he was clear about what I wanted. He has moved the company and is kinda over his head right now, but seems like a nice guy.

I called and my call got bounced, I’ll try again.

Him being a “nice guy” means little to me. The things that I valued in Hook and Hackle are now lacking.

IMO, there is NO reason not to keep in contact with your customers.

I haven’t done business with H & H recently so I cannot comment on the service level, post acquisition and relocation by the new owner. All I can say is, based on the comments coming through this board, is that if he doesn’t start responding to the needs of the customers, he will not fare well.

Oh, and shouldn’t this thread have been placed in the ‘Sound Off’ page?

Allan

I didn’t get e mail confirmation…

However my recent order did arrive quickly.

Ed

OK … so I’ll post mine on the Sound Off forum.
