Yep, waist highs are more versatile, but me being a short fat old woman, I have a hard time finding waders that fit me that don’t have size 11 feet, and no such problem with the hippies.

Me too, Herefishy ! I got no business wadin’ deep anymore either! I still prefer chest waders, though, I can find a hole to step in in my livin’ room… I never wade without felt or cleats, a waist belt, an inflatable PFD, and a staff. And never alone.
