Hey Montanans, it's supposed to snow for 10 more days!

Here in Missoula we’ve had 6" in town over the last 4 days. The lower elevation stuff melted. It continues to snow in the mountiains and everything is white again. I doubt we’ll meet averages but this could extend our fishing season a bit. I was in Dillon today and the whole valley is covered with a skiff and it was squalling off and on all day.

There was a skiff here to but it is gone now. As for Dillon there are no large mountain ranges to get run off from down that way compared to other parts of the state. That is why it is so bad down there. The snow in the mountains is powder down this way. At least that is what a friend told me. They are working on a big house up high and have been using snow moblies to get to it. But like you said some is better than none. I wouldn’t believe much of what the weatherman says. That is the only job that you can be wrong 90 percent of the time and still have a job. Ron

Yo Benjo , did it snow for those 10 days ?
We got about 6 inches in sw BC , not enough but what really helps is it stopped the warm weather melt and the way to early runoff. It is still cold in the hills now and the little we got is staying . Ya need water to float those trout .

It did snow a little for most of those days. Bridger Bowl got 50"! That’s good news for the Gallatin. Things are a lot whiter than they’ve been and snowpack is still bad, but any day that’s not 70 degrees and sunny will help a bit.
