Larry
Larry, I’m on my way! I caught over 90 stripers over the weekend, but if you added them all up they would have weighed about 45 lbs. Haven’t seen any big fish yet, but I’m hoping you’ll sho them my way
Sounds like you have a good buddy Dave, are you both using 9wts ??
Philip
Phil, I use a 9, I think Larry does too. I just got (this week) an Albright 9ft 9wt exs. What a cannon!
And Larry will be my friend if he doesn’t catch all the big fish before they reach Massachusetts.
Have no fear Dave
Fish all around me last nite and I could not hook up. I left a 7:30pm and the other guys tell me it really broke open. bunker jumping on the sand to get away from the fish.
three of my friends had fish over 30#.
I’ll try again tonight, before they want to go visit you.

Nice fish! Save some for me!!!
how long do u boys suppose it will be before they reach us up here in MA?
I still haven’t heard any reports of big fish being taken. I’d hope we’d start seeing them in a week!
I have seen them taken on the south shore for a food few weeks now. They should be up and around the Cape by now.
I caught 2 legal fish and saw the bait guys catch much larger ones in the outer beaches surf last week.
Four to seven foot surf makes for some extreme fly fishing.

As far as I can see the fish are still down here in NJ. The fish in the picture was fresh in from the ocean by the looks of him and was covered in sea lice.
We have had an East wind for the past day so nothing is happening right now. Its shifted to south (which is not good here) but with some luck it will shift to the west and we’ll be back into good fishing. (That west wind really can make you look like you know how to cast)
When they disappear from my waters I’ll let you guys and gals know.

Those fish may be on their way north. We haven’t had the evening blitzs in a few days. I gave them your address and told them to pay you a visit.
Good luck
Larry
PS One on the fellows in this weeks contest did catch a 45#. I would love to have one of those darlings on my 9 weight.
Larry, I hope so. I’ve been getting lots of fish but all small…
There are still some of the large fish off the beach down here but I understand they are now hitting some good fish up on the Cape.
How about your neighborhood?
Very upsetting to see the guys in the boats 200 to 300 yards away catching some really nice fish and I can’t buy a hit.
Omega protein is trying to open up the state waters here to harvest bunker again. That would destroy the fishing all along the coast again.
Hope your having fun.
Larry
