Here's Number 3

This one surprised me too. This is a wet
fly, not a streamer. BIG hint, we had one here recently, but not by the same name.
Have fun!

Green Weenie?

maybe a Woolly Worm?

Could it be the San Juan worm?

Jim Smith

I would guess that it is either the Woolly Worm or the San Juan Worm.

Ladyfisher has us in her clutch’s and Like all beautiful women most toy with us over and over.
I have summoned all my will power to avoid this one! No more sleepless night for this guy, no way!!
Ahhhhh shuck’s I’m on the reel!!
it’s a Stonefly Nymph!!
I hope the late night TV is good!!

I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here!

Cactus

Yellow Partridge.

Wait – what’s the category? Most popular wet fly?

I think most popular is not the status, this is the 3rd largest SOLD wet fly in the US. I have several in one fly box, and have never used one.

It isn’t a soft hackle.

could it be a scud

Black Gnat wet. Seems like all newbies end up sith some in their box and they are rarley usefull.

Maybe a McGinty. I think a fly that looks like a bee would attract the uninitiated (not to mention a lot of bluegills).

I bet its one of those quill winged flies… Just cannot think of the darn name of it!!!

The Blue Quill maybe?

“Flip a fly”

Coachman, not sure if it’s a leadwing or Royal though

I don’t know the pattern, but based on the first two it comes in bright pink and wears fishnet stockings.

there was a woolly worm here by another name not long ago, so that’s my guess.

woolly worm.
never tied or fished a single one.

SCUD!..Please!..If not, how many more times will I have to guess it?

Matuka?

Hare’s ear nymph?

Hmmm, I’m back and I didn’t see a HEN in the recent archives. Now it looks to be between Wooly Worm and Scud. I’ll guess Wooly Worm.
