Help!!!

Wisconsin’s long winter has taken it’s toll. This ole FF needs to cast a line. Am thinking about Appalachians (NC, WV, etc.), Smokies, White River or some other trout haven East of the Big Muddy…

Any suggestions about good areas that are fishable late January/early February would be appreciated. Would like to combine w/camping…

Thanks for the help folks and tight lines…

hit the white river! olive wooly buggers with a red head!

Just yelling ‘HELP’ on here is about as welcome as yelling ‘FIRE’ in a building.

Tennessee ain’t too bad either!

JC…I’m with you …how many threads have been started with that word:p:p…

If people would realize that if they title the thread appropriately/specifically…searches in the future might find it:cool:.

I apologize for my inappropriate behavior. I haven’t posted at this site as often than others and entered what I thought was a legitimate entry.

Guess I’ll move on to a site a little less critical of the less experienced…

Sorry, again!!!

Take it as constructive…nothing personal…I’ve been guilty of the same thing…and probably will be again…

Think of it this way …if You…or anyone else wants to come back to a thread it makes it much easier if it has a little specificity to the title…I’m sure folks want you around for a long time:D.

I cant believe what Im reading, the man wants help. Ive been stuck in the house with below zero weather a few weeks also and I know how he feels. Yes he needs HELP. Mountain Home Ark,the White River and camping at the Bull Shoals Dam campground. Sraight south of Wisc and I also use olive Wolly Buggers. BILL

Go to Google and type in “Sowbug Roundup 2009” for fishing info in the area.

Badger,
First, don’t pay any attention to the critics. I think they were just trying to be helpful (sorry about the pun) but probably came across much more negative than was their intent.

Anyway, Tennessee can be hit or miss this time of year. In the Smokey Mountains, it may still be too cold. The tail waters will be doing well assuming you can find times when they’re not generating.

For more of a “sure thing” I think I’d be going farther south.

Here’s a website that has a really good fishing report for the Smokey Mountain area http://www.littleriveroutfitters.com

Hope this helps.

Jeff

I have no advice on where to go to beat the winter blahs other than the sportsmen shows that should be coming around most areas

What I wanted to say is don’t bail on the site. I have been warmly welcomed and helped with many questions.

All the “club” types of sites over time develop ways of doing things that are implied to all those that post a bunch but not to us new guys. A pm or a more subtle way of saying things would be nice but the whys make sense.

I am an officer in a reef keeping club site and we get a “help” message at least once a week. Not an effective way of getting a conversation started but very understandable. don’t give this a second thought !!!
