Hello

I thought I would say hello as I have been lurking around and have enjoyed the site. My name is Bill and I live in South Central PA. I have been a life long fisherman and recently got back into flyfishing. I used to flyfish a little and am very excited about getting into tying my owm flys. This site has been a great resource. You all seem like a great bunch of guys. I would enjoy hearing from anyone here in PA.

…is southern NJ close enough…?

Welcome aboard…everything you need is here…just wash your hands before dinner and sit down with the family.

Regards, Jim

Welcome,

There are now 3 members with pa and/or fly and/or fish in their name! I am out in the SW - near Pittsburgh, but fish in the Laurel mountains too. You have a really good guide out your way - Mike Heck. He is in falling springs. Anyhow, as I said welcome.

Regards,
paff

pafisherman,

If you want, I can inspect your newly tied flies - just send me a dozen every month throughout the winter and I will gladly test them! Just kidding!

Welcome

Welcome aboard Bill!
It is a great site!
I’m over in West Central Michigan.

I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here!

Howdy Bill!

I’m from the “eastern shore” about 1.25 hrs from your neck of the woods. I fish there often.

Make sure to take advantage of the good fly shops in Carlisle & Boiling Springs. BWO’s should be coming off on the local limestoners so get out and go fishing!

Bill;
Don’t believe anything ohiotuber says!! (He works evenings so you’ll hear from him in the am.)
If you’ve checked out “SoundOff”, “Cabela,s Security Cameras” by fcch you’ll see Brad Sherrick, 'tuber & I. I’m the worried one!!
BTW I’m hosting the 2006 Fish-In on Michigan’s Ausable River and by simply “Lurking” here you are wholeheartedly invited to share lies and flies!!

I live about 35 miles north east of Harrisburg, not far from route 81. Fish streams in your area quite a bit. Maybe fish the Breeches with you some time.

Hey Bill,
You and I are pretty close to each other. I live in Liverpool. Work in New Cumberland. We have to get together and do some fishing. email me anytime.

It’s a great day for fly fishing!

Bill,
Welcome from another Pennsylvanian. I live in Honesdale in Wayne County, the northeastern most county in the state. If you’re ever up this way, give me a holler.

Bob

There is a fine line between fly fishing, and standing in the water waving a stick.

Bill,
As the others said, welcome! This IS the best site, even though there ARE certain people here who choose to insult me…with absolutely NO provocation! And, being Irish as I am, why would ANYONE think I would stray from the truth?
Jack Hise looks good for 84, doesn’t he?
Mike

This site’s about sharing!

Thanks for the welcome folks. I am looking forward to being part of this group. As I said I am a bit of a newbie to FF but have been a fisherman for all of my 49 years wow…I am getting old. I fish mainly in the local streams here…stony creek, clarks creek, yellow breeches. In fact I am taking a 1/2 day and will be on the Breeches by lunch time. Would love to hook up sometime with anyone who fishes this area. I live in Mechanisburg and work in Carlisle.
