Headwaters

I drove over bogger gut tonight at 6:30pm. The headwaters of a stream I fish.
It is un-named…My dad gave it the bogger gut handle. It is where I caught my first trout.

It was a little cloudy. But it was fishable.

2 hours later and 20 trout later. I was happy.

Most trout were in the 9-13 inch range but this one made the outing worth while.

Where do you think the trout was laying. It hit three times before I got a hook up???

It was obvious to me when I saw the stretch.

Is it obvious to you?

Hello Spinner1,
My 1st thought where it was, is to the right hand side of the photo straight across from the down tree on the left up in that liddle dark hole at the bend of stream.
OH and BTW,Great photos and very nice fish may I add !!!

Love these quizzes - my first cast would be to the left, between the point and the tree.

IF we are looking up stream i would think just inside the point near the dead tree

This suspence is gettin to me …Where was the fish…Please tell us Spinner1…pa-leezz…
I think the fish was across from the down tree before the bend of stream a foot from the bank.

See the change in color of brown to green?
It is a step drop from 12 inches to 30 inches.

OHH yes…was the fish on the left…middle or the right side of photo?

right side

I bet he was laying up in the 1st black hole on the right after the drop off

another hole from that stretch

couple out of this hole.
