Early opener in Southern Inyo county was last Saturday. I’ve decided to drive up tomorrow and check it out. Got some little midges tied up and ready to swim.
Got everything I need but tapered leaders. I’ll pick them up at a tackle shop in Lone Pine and hit the creeks. Figure to drive up to Independence creek and fish my way back. George’s creek, Lone Pine and Tuttle Creeks then finish up at Cottonwood creek above the power plant.
Has any Californians on this board been up there yet this year? If so, how’d you do? Jim
Postponed trip. Cloudy, cold and 30 MPH wind. Maybe next week. I did go to Big 5 and picked up some tapered leaders and the gun shop for a 525 round bulk carton of 22 cartridges. Jim
Haven’t been there in 15 years…but I love that area. All the way up to Hot Creek.
