Head "cement"/glue heads up

Had to get some super glue recently…

Now there is “Loctite Super Glue …Precison Max”…the PM means there is a longer “finer” tip…the cap seems to keep the tip from plugging…and when the stuff dries the stuff has a certain amount of shine…it’s liquid BTW not gel…

Try it …you may like it…

Mr Duck.

I have been using that product for quite some time. I had a little problem with the tube plugging up if the bottle was left/got tipped on its side. I solved that problem by washing out a small tomato paste can and putting the bottle in the can. Fits great and no more tip overs.

Tim,

Just for the sake of clarity…have you been using the "Precision Max " product?? I’ve used the regular Loctite liquid for years but hadn’t seen this Precision stuff…the thing that surprised me was the shine it had when dry…

The plastic bottle says Loctite Super Glue Precision Max and comes in a .35 oz container. I think I bought my first bottle about 2 years ago. It got tipped over and dried up. The 2d one I have had about a year and as long as it remains upright it is fine.

That’s it ,Tim.

OK…why were you keeping these secrets???

Heck - I thought it was common knowledge. I found out about it on a site called FAOL a couple of years ago

I have used lots of different super glue types and fishing glue, but this guy sent me a sample of his saying it would not seal it self shut and it cost less. After I got it and now have had it for quite a few months it really does stay open and it is less expensive.

I don’t use it for head cement or anything, but it’s a good product and here is the link if interested. It’s s soft plastics site, but the glue is something else. It may be fine as a head cement, but I just don’t know about that.
