Have we solved the the question yet..

The question of where is DShock?

I have not seen or read Doug here for a long time…

Thanks

PM if the answer is sensitive…

Can’t recall exactly when, sometime not too long after JC passed, one of the BB members who knows Doug advised that Doug had put fly fishing behind him and would no longer be participating on the Bulletin Board.

I inquired again fairly recently to that BB member. He had not had any further contact with Doug.

There was no suggestion that Doug was not doing well healthwise - just that he was moving on.

John

Hmmm Life like rivers flow on irregardless of mice and men…

If Doug can read this, so how or some way, live long and prosper DUUDE…

What a shame…To hear this makes me sad…I feel like I have lost a “brother”, but, I guess life goes on…I will miss him and can continue to hope that he changes his mind and comes back to us. I will miss him…Until that day gets here, take good care of yourself and try and drop in once in awhile and say “hi”.:frowning:

He sure is a nice person, I always enjoyed his humor and input to FAOL,
he and I would cross paths on the board several times very late at night
when I could not sleep and because he was use to late nights because of his past career…

Let us know how your doing Doug…

Me too Doug. Miss you my friend.

How can you move on from fly fishing?

I only know Doug from this site and some PMs back and forth. But Fly fishing did not seem to be just a passing interest for him. Maybe he just got tired of the whole forum thing.

Shortly after JC’s passing Doug sent me a pm letting me know he needed some time away. I am sorry to read that he has decided to put fly fishing behind him.

Doug,

If you are reading this please know we respect your decision, but nothing is every cast in stone. That being said, we will keep the porch light on for you.

Has anyone any info on Paul [flybinder]?

For me, there will only be one way.

MontanaMoose

Duck,
I have tried calling many time, & emailing, but absolutely no response from Paul (flybinder). The last time I heard from him was some months ago after I called one of his local friends & Paul called me back. I MAY try that again…After all, they can only tell me to “get lost”, right? I’ll post something by next Monday.
Mike

Thanks, Mike, I worry about his health.

I’m a bit more pragmatic. I treat others as they tend to treat me. In the case of the two
individuals mentioned, their total disregard for the sincere concerns cited here MANY TIMES by their FAOL “family” shows me that they don’t care. Just how much effort or pride swallowing is required for a few keystrokes? Barring catastrophic or other health issues, local and prolonged power outages etc., I would return their “care” in kind. I wouldn’t care either.

Mark

Have no fear Marco…turn over a rock and I’m still here.

Doug seemed to have a special affection for J.C.
Maybe he’s in mourning.
At any rate, we had some good natured sparring over the years…and where ever he may be, I wish him well.

Nam,
Nor do I not wish either of them, or in fact even YOU well, I’m just sayin… I’m a bit allergic to begging .

Mark
PS: Let me know what the rock looks like. I just may pass on turning it over

You’d best be careful… or I’ll put a hex hatch on you.
You’ll even dream about the rocks I might be under.

Would that hex be a Hexagenia limbata?

Rocky
