:? I’ve been getting these e-mails to subscribe to a new publication called “Hatches Magazine”. The only way is to pay for it online. I have never done this yet as I am very cautious. It looks like a great publication. Has anyone subscribed to this magazine or is it just a scam? I’d appreciate any feedback. Thanks, Ron G.

It’s not a scam. It originates from the same people who started up the Canadian Fly Fisher publication, which I have been getting for several years now. This will be simular but focused on tying. They have been printing an online version of Hatches for a while and decided to bring the best offerings it to the shelves, though they still publish an online version…which does not have the same articles. I don’t have a copy yet but I’ve heard from other who have received one, that they are impressed with it.

It is an ANNUAL so you won’t be locked into a subscription that might go bust. Al and Gretchen Beatty are the Editors and I know Nick Pujic -Associate Editor, personally. TRUST ME…You won’t be disappointed.
it used to be a free online mag, i read a few articles, seemed ok
They still post the free online version. The hard copy is just that much better.
I placed my purchase last week after 6 months of trying to get Paypal to work (my fault, not Paypal’s). I have been enjoying Nick Pujic writings and website for sometime now and I cannot wait until my copy of Hatches arrives.
