Jeremy.

I just hand wash my hats/caps in the kitchen sink and hang them out to dry in indirect sunlight. They get pretty stinky sometimes but if I don’t take of them my wife threatens to toss my headgear away. She hasn’t actually done it but I know she would.

Just as submitted this reply I just noticed my smelly old camo cap is missing. Mindy and the kids hauled a load of recycle materials to the dump last Saturday. I wonder if--------OH NO!!!

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions on hat hygiene. I think that I will try one test hat in the dishwasher and one test hat for a hand washing. The method that produces the cleanest hat, with the least shrinkage will be applied to the other hats in my fishing collection. My apology to all for washing fishing wear but we were moving into the area of an environmental emergency. Thanks again, 8T

You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it’s a real short camping season.

Some days it’s just not worth chewing through the restraints…

Use unscented soap to help keep
the bugs away!
You can find it in the health food
section at the grocery store.

Nothing worse than a swarm of bugs
around your head.

When using the dishwasher I would recommend not doing it with dirty dishes.
