Has anyone tried the new Sage ZXL 490-4 or 690-4? How does it compare/contrast to the SLT? I have a 5 wt SLT that I really enjoy and would like to get a 4 wt or (and) 6 wt in the medium to medium~fast action.
i have the 590 in stock and what a sweet casting rod!!!
I was checking out the 5 wt. at Flyguys shop last week. Seems like an awesome rod. I haven’t cast it but i’m sure it’s sweet. I think it flexes deeper than the SLT’s. I’ve heard it compared to the LL but it’s not as soft as the LL. I don’t think you could go wrong with that rod.
