Hartwick's Skinny Spratley

A different take on a standard; swapped pheasant rump for pheasant tail fibers on the wing.

hook - Dai Riki 799 #6
thread - Danville 6/0 black
tag - tinsel small gold
tail - teal flank
rib - oval tinsel gold
body - floss black
hackle - black
collar - guinea
wing - pheasant rump

Part 1

mash barb, start thread, wrap to point; tie in tinsel, wrap to barb and back, tie off/trim

measure (tips to bend) some teal flank; tie in/trim

tie in rib

tie in floss; wrap body, tie off/trim

tie in hackle, wrap to tail

Part 2

capture hackle tip with rib, continue thru to front; tie off/trim

tie in guinea by tip; wrap, tie off/trim

prep pheasant rump (2 used here); measure (tips to bend)

tie in; these ended up a bit long so I pulled them forward (keeping tension on the thread) until they were the proper length

tie off/trim, whip finish, SHHAN
