hook ? Dai Riki 280 #10
underbody - non-tox .025
thread - UTC 70 grey/brown
rib - small wire gold
flashback - opal tinsel medium
tail - biots brown
abdomen - hare’s ear dubbing
thorax - pheasant aftershaft
wings - biots amber

Part 1

wrap front 1/3 of shank with non-tox; tie in thread, wrap to bend

measure (gap width past bend) a pair of biots (convex facing); tie in/trim

tie in tinsel and rib

dub thread/dub abdomen to 60% mark

pull tinsel forward; tie down/trim

Part 2

counterwrap rib; helicopter end/cover with thread

measure (hook point to eye) another pair of biots (crossed; curving down); tie in at eye/trim

create loop at 60% mark; wax

insert aftershaft feathers (2 used here) in loop, spin

stroke fibers back with moistened fingers, wrap to 1 eye width from eye; tie off/trim

Part 3

fold biots back, cover with thread, whip finish, SHHAN
