Happy tax Day

Soon you will start working for yourself.

Go fishing.

Rick

Ducking and running.

One theory is – mail your taxes with the flood on April 15th. You are less likely to be audited that way. Think that’s true?

My wife already spent the refund so long ago that I don’t remember what she bought. (Unfortunately I do know it wasn’t anything for fly fishing.) Electronic filing really does speed things up.

There is a fine line between fly fishing, and standing in the water waving a stick.

all types of fishermen must pull together for the good of all!!!

Got $3240 back and that is only my half of the refunds. Not looking forward to next year tho; I will be filing at the higher single rate and will not claim my kids as deductions. I guess that means I will have to do more traveling to increase my deductions.

April 15th - Tax day, day Lincoln died, the day the Titanic went down and my birthday. All disasters and pain (if you believe my mother).
When I was younger, tax day was March 15th. After it changed, my dad would always tell me that Uncle Sam stole my birthday money. Hated that guy. Guess thats why I spent 23 years in the Air Force. I wanted all my birthday money back.

As an accountant, I really look forward to midnite tonite. Between now and midnite I’m sure to be swamped with calls from procrastinators needing to get their taxes done. I hate it when folks show up with all their records in a shoe box.

I used to do my own taxes a few years ago, but things kept getting more and more complicted. I always missed something in all of the forms that had to be filled out. Seems that I learned something new one year, they changed it on me the next. Couldn’t stand it anymore. Have a tax accountant do it for me now. A little expensive, but it’s worth the lower hassle for me.
