Happy kids in Ellensburg, WA

The Washington State Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers just completed our 5th annual Fly Fishing Fair in Ellensburg, WA. It was good to see some familiar FAOL faces there, Ron & Vicki & Steve and Brandon.

One of the programs our council has is training 45 students from 3 different school districts, 15 per district, and give them a morning of casting, tying and entomology. I decided to offer one Albright Topwater fly rod outfit (rod/reel/line) to each group. They were given raffle tickets and at the end of their training they gathered around and held their drawings. Three kids went home very happy at having won a fly rod outfit.

The only problem with doing that is that next year I guess I will have to do it again. It is worth it.

Larry,

We heard the squeals of delight as each drawing was held. Nice seeing young people at the show. Well done, my friend.

Thats great work you are doing my friend.

Larry,

Thank you very much for your efforts! Your right, we do get a ton of satisfaction in our own right, watching the faces of kids who are truly appreciative! It’s all good my friend!!

Best regards, Dave S.
