Thank you for your kind words. There is SOMETHING about celebrating a birthday on St. Patricks Day, AND I did that something :>) BUT much less than in the “olde days”.

PS: here in my area, a white van with ladders driving at 9:00 PM on Saint Patricks Day IS PROBABLE CAUSE for a traffic stop by the local gendarmesi. The assumption is that the driver got off work at 4:30 and sat in a bar till NOW. In MY case, I’m getting ready for a California vacation next Monday and have to tie up a whole bunch of loose ends, and JUST left a job. For just a split second, I was irritated BUT decided to employ “better judgement”. The cop said “happy birthday” and I was on my way ( total stop time was probably 2 minutes). I knew why he stopped me ( my earlier premise) but I do feel he was “fishing” . Had I done something to warrant the stop, I’d let the matter rest. I’m ALL for law enforcement but had I not been REAL tired, I would have made a scene ( and probably gotten a citation for dirty mudflaps and bugs on my windshield ) so I decided to keep my mouth shut.
BUT when I got home (Luba, yes she did Bill) had a great Irish boiled dinner complete with several bottles of “chilled” Guinness . All in all, I had/am having a wonderful day ( with no SMALL thanks for y’alls’ kind thoughts). THANKS

Marco, sorry for the late reply, but, better late than never. It was my son’s birthday yesterday also, so we were on the river fishing together and now I have another ‘double’ pic with which to wish you all the best.
