Totally inappropriate, totally the wrong place for it; JC can yank it if he wants but…
…pitchers & catchers report to Spring Training today so for me; today my favorite sport AND spring have officially begun!
Play ball!

Totally agree.

Yes, I agree indeed! I couldn’t have much better news. Especially b/c we’re getting dumped on today with snow here in Columbus. Play Ball!!!
Boozle, RW here
I totally agree with you. Once football season is over I look forward to baseball once again with a passion. Now that I’ve moved to upstate New York, I can get the YES channel and am able to watch “every” Yankee game all season long if I’m able. Between that, my fishing and gardening, you could say that I’m a very happy retiree.

RW:
Sadly I can’t get YES where I live so I have to hope the wind is blowing in the right direction and I can get some games on the radio plus the few that end up on Fox and ESPN. I will watch other games too but not with same passion as I do when it’s the Yanks!
But I now have the AAA Scranton Yankees an hour away so I’ll be up there watchin’ the kids on their way to the bigs!
Bamboozle: Checkout MLB.com. They have a package that lets you watch the games or listen to them on your computer.
Tim
I work for a College with 14 (NAIA) national baseball championships. (including last year.) The first tournament is this weekend here in Lewiston. Let spring begin
Eric
Yea I know about it but pi$$es me off that MLB makes you pay when it USED to be free! I only have a dial-up connection so that makes it not too enjoyable. It’s bad enough when I sit there like some kind of junkie in front of my computer watching the Gameday game simulation graphics; waiting for the updates when I can’t get a game on TV or radio.
I’m hoping that Sirius and XM Radio will merge or something; or that Sirius gets MLB broadcasts since I have Sirius in the house & car.
Ahh for the good old days when I used to get ALL the games FOR FREE on Channel 11.
Comerica Park will be sold out again this year. I hope the Tigers can keep the momentum going, at least give a try for the pennant.
Bamboozle… you may get your wish. NASCAR ran from XM to Sirius and I wouldn’t be surprised if MLB doesn’t do the same thing. Every other major sport is represented on Sirius… basketball, NFL and NCAA football, etc… I’m not a huge baseball fan in terms of watching the game, but I do like having it on the radio. Would be nice to get it on Sirius.
does football season ever end? is there someone, somewhere, anywhere, who is not SICK OF IT?
I’ve pretty much quite watching pro anything…give me a good college game anytime…and BTW…I don’t care if Duke ever wins another game
JC
I was sick of Football season after the Buckeyes flopped in the National Championship. game
And don’t even get me started on the NFL joke.
Can never tire of football… actually go into a minor withdraw when it’s over. Oh well… that’s what fishing season is for
Wild One… just curious… how is NFL a joke? I hear alot of guys say “I only watch college, never watch the pros” and I have my own theories on why people go that why and like to get any other perspectives when they present themselves. Care to elaborate? Personally, I have my preferences for each level, NCAA and NFL, depending on what experience I want to pull from it all.
Good luck to the returning World Series Champion:
ST. LOUIS CARDINALS!!!
I went back to watching my local little league. The best baseball in the world bar none. You can have all the professional (including college) sports.
Go Cubs!!!
Steve
College Football is the best. Late season OSU vs Hawaii, OSU’s Bowl game and Boise State’s Bowl game, they were great!
I have to agree, PRO baseball is depressing. The OSU Beavers were a great story last year and it looks like the Beavers are good once again.
I think the only professional baseball team I root for is the Cubs. They have great fans and they don’t act like it’s the end of the world when they lose!
Because of their stupid payroll, I love it when the Yankees lose.
I’m happy the Portland Trailblazers look like they want to actually PLAY this year. Brandon Roy from Washington is a great player and person.
Ducksterman, the eastern press is having a heart attack that DUKE isn’t what it used to be in BB.
When they get Kyle Singler next year, that should help them.
When Kevin Love goes to UCLA next year in BB, they will dominate the PAC 10.
Doug
If you all want to see real fun baseball come on over and we will drive up to the Little League World Series. About a 45 minute drive from my front door. I usually watch it on T.V. but I plan on personally attending this year.
By the way, it is hockey season. They may be over paid too, but, in my opinion, hockey players are the last of the real tough guys in pro sports.
If they would eliminate fighting in pro hockey, I’d probably watch more often. I played from a kid up into high-school and love the game, just hate seeing the fights. It kills the game’s marketability and it’s a shame.
